Yen regained some ground on the crosses in US trading

The Euro drifted lower again in early Europe on Friday with a lack of buying support as fears surrounding the Greek situation persisted. There were reports that the Greek government was about to announce a formal application for EU and IMF support in order to stabilise the budget situation and this maintained selling pressure on the Euro.
