New Zealand economy contracted by 0.4 per cent

The New Zealand Dollar opens lower at 0.5675 after yesterday's local third-quarter GDP data revealed a deepening recession. The economy contracted by 0.4 per cent as demand evaporated in all major sectors of the economy.
