March Jobless Rate Rises To 5.0%

Japan's unemployment rate for March rose 0.1% to 5.0%, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported last week. The record high was 5.6% in July 2009. Job losses remained largely in manufacturing, with the pace of decline in that sector slowing slightly compared to the previous month.
