German Consumer Sentiment Surprises to the Upside

The GFK Survey of German consumer sentiment improved markedly in the month of July jumping to 2.9 from 2.5 forecast. This was the best reading in a year and the third consecutive month when the survey met or beat expectations suggesting that conditions in Eurozone’s largest and most important economy are beginning to stabilize.
