Dollar up against euro and other key currencies

The euro fell to 1.2158 dollars in New York at 2100 GMT from 1.2245 dollars on Wednesday after the European Union rejected Hungary's bid to maintain a wider budget deficit amid the mounting European debt crisis triggered by Greece.
