Dlr holds gains ahead of Fed, euro under pressure

The dollar retained gains on Tuesday ahead of a meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve later in the day while the euro stayed under pressure despite a rescue mechanism put in place for Greece by euro zone ministers.
