CAD closes 0.23 of a cent higher to 99.72 cents US

The Canadian dollar closed 0.23 of a cent higher to 99.72 cents US on Thursday. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.0028, down 0.23 of a cent. Pound sterling settled C$1.5315, down 0.13 of a cent and US$1.5272, up 0.22 of a cent. The euro was worth C$1.3387, down 0.36 of a cent.
