Bernanke Sees ‘Gradual Sales’ of Securities on Balance Sheet

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the central bank will eventually start “gradual sales” of mortgage-backed securities on its balance sheet so it can return to holdings of only U.S. Treasuries.
