B.C. consumers' confidence hits the skids

The confidence of British Columbia consumers fell off sharply in July to align more closely with overall sluggish growth in the economy and perhaps the feeling they will be bitten by the harmonized sales tax, the Conference Board of Canada reported Tuesday.
