Monday’s US bank holiday led to narrow trading ranges in the US and Europe.

Asian stocks rose on Monday, with the Hang Seng jumping 263 points to 23207, and China rising another 2.5% on the heels of Friday’s 3% jump. Japanese markets were closed.
