A 25-year USD/JPY Technical Breakdown

Starting in April of 1995, the lowly USD/JPY took off like a rocket after hitting rock bottom at 79.70, and never looked back as rates nearly doubled in just over 3 years finally topping out in August of 1988 at 147.65. Prices have since steadily declined with a couple intermittent period of strength--November.
