I can't find a category for my submission. Can I still submit it?
Fortunately for you, we only accept submissions that fit in the existing categories. This keeps the flow of information defined and specific. That's better for everyone, believe us, it's true. Please don't submit stories that can't be matched to a category.
Can I delete one of my submissions after it's already been submitted?
Sure, when pigs fly! Actually, yes, you can, for a small fee. Once again I make a joke. Use our contact page and send us an email with the Story URL. You must be the submitter of the story and you must email us from the email address registered with your FreshPips account.
Can I edit one of my submissions?
Yes. Go to the Submitted tab in your profile and find the story in question. Under the Title, click on the admin links link and then on Edit. Make the necessary changes and click Preview and Submit to save the changes. Presto!
Can other users see my email address?
No. Your email address has been hidden from view of other users.
How many times can I vote for or trash a submission?
You only get one Fresh vote, so make it count! You can, however take that vote back.
My account has been deleted. What's the deal?
You weren't playing mister/misses nice guy/gal. Violating our Terms of Use is an offense punishable by account termination and name calling.
How do I change my registered email address?
Once you're logged in, go to your profile page and click Modify. Make the necessary changes to your email address and click Submit.
How do I change my password?

How do I delete my account?
That's actually impossible, not allowed, sorry... If you really, really, really want to delete your account ( we don't recommend it :-) ), please contact us with your account information. The email must come from the email address registered with your FreshPips account.

Contact us with the Comment URL. You must be the submitter of the comment and you must email us from the email address registered with your FreshPips account.
How many Fresh votes does it take to get me onto the home page (or main page for a category)? How many Trash votes does it take to remove my story?

I want to take my Fresh vote back. How do I do that?
Sometimes people have a change of heart. To take your Fresh vote back, go to the Voted tab in your profile and find the story in question. Under the Vote count icon, click Unvote.

How does FreshPips handle spam and spamming of story submissions or comments?
Spam and spamming are two things we actually take very seriously. They are both violations of our Terms of Use. At minimum, they can result in the deletion of your submission. Depending on severity, blatant spam and spamming will result in the ban and deletion of your account, and possibly a ban on your email and IP addresses. Spam can be a subjective matter, so initially we will leave it up to the community to decide that stays and what goes. Legitimate submitters are definitely allowed to submit their own content to FreshPips, but keep in mind that excessive submissions could lead to being branded a spammer. Please be considerate.
How can I report a user for spam or inappropriate behavior?
Please contact us with the Story URL, the user profile URL or the comment URL. The email must come from the email address registered with your FreshPips account.
Will FreshPips ever remove stories?
Never say never, right? The possibility exists that FP will remove a story or two. If a story violates our Terms of Use, then removal will definitely take place. In other instances, such as wrong category grouping, winning the Suck-O-Meter award, or duplication, removal could also occur.
