U.S., Canada GDP figures turn upbeat

Even as markets fret about the possible fallout from populist-driven banking reforms and extraordinarily high levels of public debt, they would be hard-pressed to ignore GDP data from the United States and Canada that surpassed expectations and offered convincing evidence that the recovery is for real.
