Aussie edges down to 2-1/2 month low

The Australian dollar edged further lower to a multi-month low against the buck in early New York trading on Friday, following the release of key U.S. reports showing that the U.S. nonfarm payrolls fell 51,000 in July. Economists were expecting payrolls to fall 73,000.
