The New Zealand dollar begins the day just short of 0.80, benefiting from the
gradual return of investor risk appetite. The NZD and AUD drifted lower early on, but
were better bid during the New York session, though with equity markets flat and weak economic data elsewhere, it wasn’t a convincing move back into risk.
