Japanese October Bankruptcies Highest Since April 2005

The total number of bankruptcies in Japan increased in October, according to a report released by Teikoku Databank, Ltd. Tuesday. The number of bankruptcies rose 13.7% year-on-year in October to 1231 cases from 1083 last year. The number also surpassed the 1122 cases in September, to reach its highest level since April 2005.
