The Deflation Scenario

Given hyper-bland Fed speak, this was cause for alarm. Extremely low inflation can easily tip into deflation, and several economic indicators are flashing red. Most critically, the CPI is dangerously low, at less than 1%. Investor and consumer confidence and demand are at similarly depressing levels. And the overall economy is still deleveraging.
